Community Profile

Come to a place...a place where middle school students are the leading authorities on pretty much everything. A place where most TV shows and books never made it past the 1950s. A place where your favorite holidays happen at least twice a year and nobody ever seems to age--or graduate to high school.

Come to Stoneybrook, Connecticut, where life in the 'Brook is magical and mystical, at least until you re-read the stories as an adult and realize how implausible it all was.

The Baby-sitters Club books hold a dear place in the hearts of a certain generation of folks. Unfortunately, for some of us, rediscovering these books twenty years later causes screaming fits, heartburn, and occasional violence as we toss these books across the room after reading particularly upsetting passages. And yet, we can still find humor in them.

Inspired by the LiveJournal community BSC Snark, I started writing my own snarky takes on the books in early 2010. This community was created as a way for me to collect my snarks in one place. Want to know more? Please read the intro post or click the *admin tag.
